Half of 3/4 cup, and how to halve any cup measure
To cut a recipe in half, halve every measure in it. Turn the cup into tablespoons, halve those, and put the result back into the measures you own. A US cup is 16 tablespoons and a tablespoon 3 teaspoons (NIST Handbook 44), so ¾ cup is 12 tbsp and half of it is ¼ cup + 2 tbsp, 6 tablespoons. When a recipe calls for 1 cup, half is simply ½ cup; the odd marks are where the spoons come in. Pick "A third", "Double" or "Triple" in the converter to scale a recipe the other ways.

Half of a tablespoon or teaspoon
Half a tablespoon is 1 tsp + ½ tsp, and half a teaspoon fills the ½ teaspoon measure.

Halving a recipe by weight
If the recipe gives grams, halve the grams: that is exact and needs no spoons. To halve a recipe in cups by weight, convert the cups to grams first with the cups to grams converter: ¾ cup of all-purpose flour is 90 grams, so half is 45 grams.
